Home Theater Audio and Visual Components

Projector:

To properly simulate the theater environment, there’s no substitute for a home theater projector that offers unparalleled wall-to-wall screen size without requiring a large footprint during the off hours. For right Theater experiences and to getting a maximize ambiances quality of a projector display, have to minimize ambient light and pair the projector with a reflective screen that fits the desired image size.
Most of today’s home theater projectors offer Full HD, which have a 1080p resolution. But for higher resolution and ultra 3D experiences, performance home theater projectors are introduced in market. Many projectors in this group are 4K resolution or 4K-enabled resolution projectors. 4K home theater projectors come in two resolution formats – UHD, which is 3840×2160, with an aspect ratio of 16:9 (1.78), and 4K DCI, which is 4096×2160, with a slightly wider aspect ratio of 1.90 instead of 1.78.

Practically speaking there is no way to tell the difference between the picture from the 4K DLP chip and a native 4K projector. Meanwhile, Epson and JVC market 4K-enabled projectors that will accept 4K signals and display those using advanced video processing techniques and 1920×1080 chips. The result is a picture that is extremely close to native 4K performance at prices lower than you’ll pay for a native 4K home theater projector. And most models from Epson and JVC have Lens Memory, a vital feature if you want to set up a Constant Image Height system on a Cinemascope 2.4:1 screen without an anamorphic lens. Apart from Epson and JVC there are Sony, BenQ, Optoma, Epson and Acer which have a good market values in 4K projectors in market.

HDTV:

High-definition TVs are alternatives that offer higher-quality images in lighted environments, but you lose near wall-to-wall screen size and much of the theater ambience. In either case, opt for a 1080p resolution or more and calibrate the display according to the device’s manual to maximize the image quality. TVs are bigger than ever before, and now 4K Ultra HD resolution is a consideration. If you plan to watch 3D movies, choose an HDTV or projector that natively supports 3D. Technologies like LED backlighting and 120Hz/240Hz refresh rates have helped overcome limitations in black level and motion blur, respectively. OLED is another flat-panel TV technology, an OLED TV’s pixels generate their own light, and therefore, the TV is capable of a much deeper black level than a LED/LCD TV. The main advantage for HDTV is about watching movies with the lights on. We have many brands for HDTV such as Samsung, LG, BenQ, Sharp, Philips, TCL and Haier.

Screen & Display:

The audience’s distance from the screen largely dictates the maximum size of the screen, because you could notice pixelation on screens that exceed this maximum. To calculate the maximum size of a 1080p HDTV, multiply the viewing distance by 0.84. As an example, if you sit 80 inches away from the screen, multiply 80 times 0.84 to derive a maximum screen size of approximately 67 inches.

Projectors offer more flexibility with screen sizes, but you should still consider personal preference and the rated “throw” distance, which is the maximum distance a projector can produce a clearly focused image. This throw distance is directly related to the throw ratio, which is the relationship between distance and screen size. In general, the further back the projector, the larger the screen size, but some projectors have variable throw ratios for enlarging images even at relatively close distances.

Sound System:

All the magical experience of the enveloping audio in the theater is created due to the sound elements come at you from all directions. Speakers come in all shapes and sizes, from freestanding towers to bookshelf models to thin speakers that mount on the wall. Usually, five surround sound speakers, a subwoofer (5.1) is only required for a proper surround sound system, but we recommended to go for seven-speaker and a subwoofer (7.1) or more, for a complete surround experience. Adding one more subwoofer will enhance the sound experience in your home theater. The latest trend is 3D audio, in which formats like Dolby ATMOS and DTS:X add an overhead sound element that provides an even more immersive audio experience. Dimensions and room shape greatly influence the sound coming from the speakers. There are also Home Theater sound bars available from LG, Sony, JBL, Panasonic and many more brands. AVCOM team of seasoned professionals analyze and design according to the dimension of the area available.

Home Theater Electronics Components

Apart from high-definition display or screens and a multi-channel audio system, to watch a High quality movie there are some Electronics Components comes to play in Home Theater its part. This component are the back bone of the Home theater system which process the content from the source, amplify and distribute it through the speaker and screen. They are the source, Receiver and Separator.

Source:

The principal source device in any home theater system will be some type of movie or content player. The trusy old DVD player is still an excellent choice to serve up a good-looking 480p image and enveloping surround sound; however, if you want better picture and sound, then the Blu-ray format is the way to go.

• Blu-ray Player: If you own a 3D-capable display device, you may want a 3D-capable Blu-ray player to enjoy 3D movies at home. Ultra HD Blu-ray is the next evolution in the disc format, offering support for a 4K resolution, High Dynamic Range, and a Wide Color Gamut.
• Cable/satellite Box: The cable/satellite box is another common source device. A whole new crop of streaming video players from the likes of Apple, Roku, and Amazon allow you to stream video-on-demand over a network connection.
• Gaming consoles: Finally, gaming consoles have become a popular home theater source, as products like the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One support Blu-ray and streaming video.

Receiver/Separator:

The electronics are the brain of the home theater system. They receive the audio and video signals from your source devices and distribute them out to the speakers and display device.

Home Theater Electronics:

Electronics fall into two main categories: AV receivers and separates.

• Receiver: An AV receiver puts everything you need in one chassis: One box contains all of the AV inputs to connect your devices, the processors that decode the audio and video signals for output, and the amplification that powers the speakers. Some popular receiver manufacturers are Denon, Marantz, Yamaha, Onkyo, and Pioneer.
• Separator: The “separates” approach requires two boxes: a preamp/processor for signal input/processing and an amplifier (or multiple amplifiers) to power the speakers. The latter approach is more common amongst high-end audio enthusiasts who want more precise control over their system’s performance, particularly in the amplification realm. Some of the high-end separates are of Anthem, McIntosh Labs, Mark Levinson, Classe Audio, and Simaudio Brands.
